555 Software chip for A123 Lithium Ion Charger

This Software chip can alter your model 109/109D or newer model 110 Deluxe Charger to make it into a A123 Lithium Ion Charger. Now you can charge your a123 batteries. It will not do any other batteries besides the a123's now. This micro chip is easy to install. It plugs into the socket on the circuit board and upgrades your 110 Deluxe Charger or 109/109D charger to the latest Software Version 1.31 released in March 2008. Remove the four screws which are holding the charger together. Flip the charger over into the gray tub. Use needle nose pliers to carefully remove (wiggle upwards) the old chip.You may use a Popsicle stick to guide in the feet and press gently. The small notch on the chip should face the middle of the charger, not the edge of the charger. If it goes in backwards no harm will be done, but you will see black squares on the display.
The following lith ion features:
1. Cell count is locked in as soon as battery is detected.
2. Time out is increased from 1 hour to 10 hours
3. Amp Hours are increased for 9.5 to 95 amp hours.
4. Now you can charge large packs in parallel.
5. Discharge stops at 3.0 volts per cell.
6. Charging stops at 3.6 volts per cell.
WARNING!!!!LITHIUM BATTERIES ARE A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD. NEVER, EVER LEAVE THE BATTERY UNATTENDED WHILE CHARGING! ALWAYS CHARGE IN A FIRE PROOF CONTAINER. NEVER TOP OFF A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY. NEVER FAST CHARGE IF CELLS ARE LESS THAN 3 VOLTS. ALWAYS VERIFY AND MONITOR CORRECT BATTERY VOLTAGE AND CORRECT CELL COUNT. NEVER CHARGE IN A HOME, GARAGE, NOR A MOTOR VEHICLE.

so that it will say a123 li-ion cells.
